*Project produced and realized with Art en Action, an association, act 1901, based in Paris, France.
Architect Adrian GARCIA SIERRA collaborates with the collective Art en Action to create GATE GAME, an interactive light and sound installation in the form of a cube.
GATE GAME is a 3m3 aluminum structure. It fixes perforated aluminum and polycarbonate panels to bring structural integrity and visual variety to the assembly.
The perforated aluminum panels are very dynamic. They reflect light and color creating an ambiguous space. When superposed, they create an optical illusion effect that can be experience up close and from a distance (up to 200 meters). The polycarbonate panels diffuse light creating luminous color volumes.
Various types of sensors (touch, shock, sliders, knob...) are distributed throughout the structure. When the public "plays" with the sensors, they activate light and sound creating random compositions designed by Vivian ROOST. A MIDI system synchronizes everything making a harmonious assembly.
GATE GAME was presented at the Nowhere Festival 2010 in Spain and at La Nuit Blache 2010 in Paris, France
